Kalinga Narthanam of Sri Krishnar
Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal - the dancing posture of Sri Krishnar is found in certain temples in India. Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal is found in a small town Oothukkadu in Tanjore district. He is seen dancing with His left foot on the serpent's head and His right leg in the air. Mahakavi Venkatasa Subhaiyyar, popularly known as "Venkata Kavi", who lived in the 17th century AD has composed a number of melodious songs in praise of Oothukkadu Deity. "Thaaye Yasodha," Ali Payudhe Kanna,"Paal Vadiyum Mugam" and "Aadadhu Asangadhu Va Kanna" are a few of them.
